Specialized Master® - DIGITAL SECURITY Digital Health course (SECNUM)

The aim of this diploma is to meet the growing demand for qualified IT security professionals, essential for the protection of information within various economic domains, in an increasingly digital and interconnected world. 

The SECNUM Diplôme d'Etablissement, run by Polytech Montpellier, has been accredited by the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles (CGE), and from the start of the 2025 academic year will become a Mastère Spécialisé ® Sécurité Numérique.  

Since 2024, this Diplôme d'Etablissement has offered a new pathway to meet the specific needs of the healthcare field, the Santé Numérique pathway, in addition to the Industrie Numérique pathway.

Course duration: 1 year

350 hours of face-to-face teaching spread over 12 weeks, plus weeks spent at the company and the final day of the course on August 31. 

Training is divided into 3 periods of 4 weeks each, separated by periods on the job.

Skills acquired 

On completion of the course, graduates of the SECNUM : 

  • Understand the challenges of circuit and system safety, 
  • Is aware of legislation, certification, standards and processes, 
  • Master the main cryptographic algorithms and identify their potential vulnerabilities, 
  • Is able to use the reverse engineering technique and masters the hardware attack method using hidden channels, as well as analyzing the results, 
  • Knows the main vulnerabilities, security principles and radio and wire communication protocols, as well as routing and data storage infrastructures, 
  • Manage vulnerability analyses in line with the technical context of the product to be assessed (healthcare or digital industry), 
  • Is able to identify the players involved in digital healthcare and the major digital transformation programs, 
  • Is able to identify the Digital Health market, 
  • Master the healthcare data lifecycle, 
  • Respect and apply the legal and regulatory framework for hosting and processing health data.

Registration conditions 

Admission requirements 

Scientific training in electronics, microelectronics, automation and industrial computing, computer science. 

Entry level: 5 years' higher education (engineering diploma or Master's degree) 

Recruitment procedures 

Candidates are pre-selected on the basis of their academic record, internships and motivation. Successful candidates are invited to an interview. These two stages result in the selection of eligible candidates. 

Final admission will only be granted once a host company has signed a continuing education contract (contrat de professionnalisation or convention de formation continue). 

Stage 1: online application until June 15, 2025

Stage 2: analysis of applications
Once this analysis has been completed, the applicant moves on to the next stage in the selection process, or is notified that his or her application has been unsuccessful. 

Stage 3: Motivational interview
An on-site interview enables us to fully understand the student's project, motivation and suitability for the corporate world and its constraints.
This stage takes place as eligible applications are received.
